Our Story
In 2003, American real estate contractor Scott Cook discovered and acquired a tranquil, uninhabited property with a pristine natural spring at the foothills of Jamaica’s Dolphin Head Mountains, located along the border of Westmoreland and Hanover—the westernmost regions of the Caribbean island.
In 2005, Scott, along with his brother Timothy Cook, founded Banyan Development Limited, a Jamaican company.
Following a brief venture into tourism as “Discovery Falls” from 2008 to 2011, Scott redirected his focus to the spring water business from 2011 to 2014 — a path that led to a fortuitous meeting in 2015 with Delroy Wilson, now co-founder and Operations Manager. What began with a handshake and a shared vision soon blossomed into the creation of Discovery Spring Water.
Together Scott and Delroy focused on establishing the infrastructure needed to bottle the pure, mineral-rich spring water on the property —which, centuries before, was poured into Spanish clay jars to quench the thirst of the country’s sugar plantation workers.
Their mission was clear: to craft a genuinely premium product that would elevate the standard of Jamaica’s bottled water industry, while being a home-grown brand that Jamaicans could be proud of.
Discovery Spring Water is proudly owned by Banyan Development Limited — an industry leader in sustainable innovation, products, and solutions, dedicated to advancing eco-friendly living through emerging technologies.

Where We Are
Discovery is located in the western hills of Westmoreland, Jamaica, just a few minutes’ drive from Negril Beach. The source of all water for Discovery Spring Water comes from a deep, underground natural spring. The spring water has been tested, certified, and rated as a premier clean water source.

Bisphenol A is an industrial chemical found in the polycarbonate plastics that are often used in single-use plastic water bottles. BPA can seep into food or beverages and has possible adverse health effects, especially for infants and children. Discovery delivers you water that is completely chemical free.
